Current Bill Charges Explanation:


Energy Charge:


This charge is for the actual kilowatt hours you use for the current billing period.
This money goes to the generator.

Distribution Tariff:
This charge is for the up keep of the Rocky R.E.A. Ltd. distribution system.
This money is what is used to operate Rocky R.E.A. Ltd.

May 2007 varying energy rate is .08300¢ per kilowatt hour.

Rocky Rural Power, A Division of Rocky REA, Retail Power rate is currently offered at .069300¢ per kilowatt hour.

System Access:


This charge is for the up keep of the transmission lines that bring the power from the generator to the R.E.A. Distribution system.
The money goes to the transmission administrator.

 

Load Settlement:

This Charge is for sorting out the time of day your energy was used so that the generator can charge you accordingly. For example electricity energy used at six (6) p.m. is more expensive than energy used at twelve (12) midnight.
This money goes to Fortis Incorporated.

Line Loss:


Line Loss is the charge for the kilowatt-hours that are lost between the generator and the meter. Every one who has a meter pays for the line loss.
This money goes to the generators.

Administration Charge:


This charge is paid to the wholesaler of electricity you receive.
This money goes to the REA Wholesale Power Provider.
